Evidence records are the core data in Founder Sherpa. Each piece of evidence captures what you heard from a real customer, linked to the hypotheses and questions it relates to.

Adding interview evidence

  1. Navigate to a project’s Interviews tab
  2. Click Add Interview
  3. Select the persona and hypothesis being tested
  4. Fill in the evidence details:
    • Interviewee name — Who you spoke with
    • Evidence content — What you learned (direct quotes or paraphrased insights)
    • Questions — Which questions from your catalog were asked
    • Sentiment — Whether the evidence supports, contradicts, or is neutral toward the hypothesis
You can also add evidence from the Discovery Journey diagram (Step 4 → Record).

Managing interviewees

The Interviews tab includes a collapsible Interviewees panel that shows:
  • All unique interviewee names across the project
  • The number of interviews per person
  • Quick filters to view evidence from a specific interviewee

Evidence list

The Interviews tab displays all evidence records with:
  • Filtering — Filter by persona, hypothesis, interviewee, or source
  • Sorting — Sort by date, persona, or hypothesis
  • Expand/collapse — Click any evidence card to see full details
  • Source indicator — Shows whether evidence was entered manually or imported from a transcript

Evidence sources

Evidence can come from two sources:
SourceHow it’s created
ManualEntered directly through the Add Interview form
Transcript ImportExtracted automatically by AI from an uploaded transcript
Both types work identically once created — they link to hypotheses, questions, and interviewees the same way.

Import Transcripts
